Recipients are notified through the contact methods you provided, verify their identity with a simple code, and then access a beautifully organized view of the vitals you prepared for them - grouped by category with all the details and files you included.
How Recipients Are Notified
When delivery is triggered, each recipient is contacted through the methods you provided in their address book entry:
- Email - A message with a secure link to access their vitals
- SMS (if provided) - A text message with the same secure link
Both notifications include the personal note you wrote to help your recipient recognize that this is an authentic communication from someone they know and trust. This personal touch is important - it helps them understand what this is and why it matters.
Identity Verification
Before accessing any information, recipients complete a brief verification step using a one-time passcode (OTP):
- They click the secure link in their notification
- A verification code is sent to their email or phone
- They enter the code to confirm their identity
This protects your information from being accessed by anyone other than the intended recipient. The process is simple and takes just a moment.
The Vitals View
Once verified, your recipient sees a carefully designed page that presents everything you prepared for them:
Hero Section
At the top, they'll see your name and the personal note you wrote. This sets the tone and helps orient them in what might be an emotional moment.
Category Groups
Your vitals are organized into the same categories you used - Financial, Legal, Personal, and so on. Each category appears as a clearly labeled section, making it easy to find specific information.
Expandable Vital Cards
Within each category, individual vitals appear as cards that can be expanded to reveal full details. This keeps the initial view clean and manageable while giving recipients access to everything when they're ready.
Each expanded vital shows:
- All the fields and information you recorded
- Any files or documents you attached
- Notes and special instructions
Attached Files
Recipients can view and download any files linked to their vitals. Documents open in the browser when possible, and all files can be downloaded for safekeeping.
The 7-Day Access Window
Recipients have 7 days to access and download their vitals from the moment delivery is completed. A countdown is displayed so they know how much time remains.
During this window, recipients can:
- View all assigned vitals as many times as needed
- Download individual files attached to their vitals
- Download a PDF summary of all their vitals for offline reference
After the 7-day window closes, access to the secure link expires. This time limit is a security measure to protect your information. Encourage your recipients - in your personal note or elsewhere - to download everything they need during this period.
