Types of Notifications

One Final Message sends several types of notifications to keep you informed about your account and messages.

Check-In Reminders

These are the most important notifications. At your chosen schedule frequency, we send a check-in reminder asking you to confirm you're okay. Responding to these reminders keeps your messages safely stored.

Missing multiple check-in reminders may result in your messages being delivered. Make sure your contact methods are up to date.

Delivery Confirmations

When a message is delivered to a recipient, you'll receive a confirmation notification letting you know the delivery was successful. This includes details about which message was sent and to whom.

Account Alerts

You'll receive notifications for important account changes, including:

  • Billing updates and payment confirmations
  • Plan changes (upgrades, downgrades, or cancellations)
  • Security alerts for unusual activity
  • Contact method verification requests

Customizing Your Preferences

You can manage your notification preferences from the Notifications page in your Account settings:

  1. Go to Account
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Toggle specific notification types on or off
  4. Choose which contact method receives each type

Changes to your preferences are saved automatically.

Check-in reminders cannot be fully disabled while you have scheduled messages, as they are essential to the delivery system.

Contact Methods

Notifications are sent to your verified contact methods. You can have up to 2 verified methods (email and/or SMS). To add or update your contact methods, visit your Account page.
